Auto Workers of America,
will be presented America-
Israel Friendship Awards at
a ceremonial dinner, Dec. 3,
in the Grand Ballroom of
Cobo Hall.
In announcing the
awards, former Con-
gressman Herbert Tenzer
described the men as "out-
standing labor leaders, who
by their words and action
give democratic-loving
people everywhere the
strength to continue their
struggle for human rights."

begun at a recent kick-off
luncheon in Detroit pres-
ided over by attorney Irving
B. Ackerman, chairman of
the regional committee of
the America-Israel Friend-
ship League.

The committee includes,
industrialist Irwin Green,
Selman Grand, Judge
Nathan J. Kaufman,
Damon Keith, Justice of the
United States Court of Ap-
peals, and Assistant Secret-
ary of State Walter Elliot.
The America-Israel
Friendship League is a
non-sectarian and non-
political organization
whose purpose is to further
the friendship and mutual
understanding between the
peoples of the United States
and Israel.

day of golf, festivities and
relaxation that each year
honors workers on behalf of

at Knollwood Country Club
in West Bloomfield.
