convention at the Bnai
Brith Perlman Camp in
Starlight, Pa. The conven-
tion theme is "Within Our
Reach," and the program
features the opening of the
BBG 50th anniversary year
as well as the presentation
of the Sam Beber Distin-
guished AZA Alumnus
Award to television person-
ality Monty Hall. The con-
vention will include prog-
rams on Soviet Jewry, sup-
port of Soviet dissidents
and a celebration of Israel's
30th anniversary.

League will end its season

The 1978 VIP Leadership
Camp for AZA and BBG
chapter presidents, will be
held Monday through Sept.
1, at the Charles and Flor-
ence Milan-BBYO Confer-
ence Centre in Belle River,
Ontario. The five-day prog-
ram will include training in
the areas of leadership con-
cepts, membership, running
a meeting, the Jewish com-
munity, fund-raising and
budgets and policy interpre-
tation. The featured
speaker at the program will
be Emanuel Mandel, who
currently serves as a train-
ing officer for the Peace
Corps in Washington, D.C.
Mandel formerly was the
director of Michigan Region
BBYO, as well as national
program director of BBYO.
The Great Lakes AZA
and BBG Councils an-
nounce the appointment of
Joel Stitelman of Akiba
AZA and Marcia Eizen of
Disraeli BBG as coor-
dinators for the 1979 BBYO
Walk for Israel. The walk, -
which will take place April
29, is being planned in
