Jewry on the Air

NEW YORK — Alabama
Governor George Wallace
will be the paid leader of a
tour to Israel in February.
Wallace will leave office
in January and has confided
to friends that he is worried
about finding a permanent
job. His medical bills, fol-
lowing an assassination at-
tempt several years ago, are
reported to cost $75,000 per
year.
The tour is being ar-
ranged by a Birmingham,
Ala. travel firm which used
singer Pat Boone and
evangelist George Otis for a
similar tour last year. Some
350-400 persons are ex-
pected to make the trip.
