"We dine at several of the
local restaurants that you
recommend in your column.
Many of these places have
valet parking and we use it
when it is available. I had
noticed that the last place
that we dined, the parking
attendant had been playing
around with the C.B. in the
car and had changed the
radio station. I ALWAYS
keep my radio tuned to
WJZZ and it was very obvi-
ous when we got into the car
that someone had been
playing around.

MAIL DEPT.... "The
funniest thing happened to
my husband, Dr. Jack
Levine and I recently. We
own a summer home on
Lake Huron, near Port
Sanilac. Most weekends
when we drive up to enjoy
the cool breezes, we take our
cats with us. They are often
fidgety in the car so I keep a
zip-lock bag of "cat nap" in
the glove box to calm them
down for the ride. A past
weekend when I reached in
the glove box, the bag was
gone. Jack and I couldn't fi-
gure out what had happed to
the bag. There was no label
on it so no one would really
know what was in the bag,
and that is when we figured
it out.

"That was when Jack and
I realized what had become
of the "bag." No markings,
dried weed, sweet smelling.
We think that we got "rip-
ped off" but whomever it
was that ripped us, 'you're
in for quite a surprise.' They
must have thought that
they had come across a "bag

JERUSALEM (JTA) —
Justice Minister Shmuel
Tamir submitted to the
Knesset a bill abolishing

According to the new bill,
administrative detentions
by the ministry of defense
will be carried out subject to
their approval by a district
court. Each detention will
have to be approved within
two months by the president
of the district court. The
president will have to re-
view each such file once
every three months.

Introducing the bill to the
Knesset at its last meeting
before the summer recess,
Tamir said the existing
regulations were used dur-
ing the British Mandate
period to hold Jews prison-
ers for unlimited periods of
time, and it was high time to
change them.
