Hebrew Literacy
Campaign Is Set

NEW YORK (JTA) — A
"National Hebrew Literacy
Campaign" spearheaded by
the National Federation of
Jewish Men's Clubs will be
carried out by Conservative
congregations throughout
the United States and
Canada following the High
Holy days in October. '

The object of the cam-
paign between Oct. 30 and
Feb. 2 is to provide adults,
both lay people and com-
munity leaders, with suffi-
cient knowledge of the Heb-
rew language to equip them
to follow and conduct a Fri-
day night service.

Reaches Upper Peninsula

During the past week, the
Chabad House on Wheels,
staffed by senior rabbinical

Names Winners

First-round competition
in men's and women's class

U.S. Amateur Racquetball
