zations, died July 14 at age
70.
Born in Brooklyn, N.Y.,
Mrs. Greenbaum was a

men's Committee, Sinai
Hospital Guild and
Zedakah Club.
She leaves two sons, Gil-
bert and Jerome; a brother,
Edward Hersch of Florida;
and two grandchildren.
Mrs. Hoberman
Bertha Hoberman, a
member of the former
Young Israel synagogue in
Detroit, died July 9 in Bnei
Brak, Israel.
A former Detroiter, Mrs.
Hoberman is survived by
her husband, Rabbi Jacob;
and a brother, Irving Mud-
rick of Oak Park. Interment

torney Reuben E. Gross died
July 7 at age 64.
A founder of the National
Jewish Commission on Law
and Public Affairs
(COLPA), he participated in
all of the important legal
battles establishing the
rights of Orthodox Jews
under American law for
Sabbath observers.
He was a prominent at-
torney and was known for
three decades as an outspo-
ken supporter of Torah
Jewry in the United States
and Israel.
