of African Unity in the
Sudan last week renewed
support for Arab states
against Israel.
In a calm session that
contrasted with earlier fiery
exchanges about foreign
military intervention in Al..
rica, the African foreign
ministers also expressed
backing for the Palestine
Liberation Organization,
according to a spokesman,
Peter Onu. '
He said the ministers had
condemned what they cal-
led Israel's aggression
against Lebanon and its in-
transigence toward Egypt's
peace initiative.
