THE DETROIT JEWISH NEWS Tel Aviv Project to Analyze Peace TEL AVIV — A new Tel Aviv University research project on peace was an- nounced at the recent meet- ing of the university board of governors. The project, headed by Prof. Avivi Yavin, will analyze prob- lems relating to prospects for peace in the Middle East and advantages that can re- sult from a state of harmony between Israel and its neighbors. Establishing the peace project was the recommen- dation of a preliminary committee of experts at Tel Aviv University, headed by Maj. Gen. (res.) Aharon Yariv, head of the TAU Center for Strategic Studies and former Israeli chief of military intelligence. The peace research will concen- trate upon areas of possible cooperation with Egypt, analyze problems which can arise from a situation of peace and the contribution the university can make towards the advancement of peace. i Monument Unveilings Unveiling announcements may be inserted by mail or by calling The Jewish News. 17515 W.
