UN Denies Pact
With Terrorists
UNITED NATIONS
(JTA) — A United Nations
spokesman denied a report
that the United Nations and
the Palestine Liberation
Organization (PLO) had
reached a secret agreement
permitting large numbers
of terrorists to re-enter
areas evacuated by Israel in
south Lebanon.
The Israeli State televi-
sion reported the alleged
agreement last week, citing
"most ' authoritative
sources." According to the
military correspondent of
the Israeli TV, PLO leader
Yasir Arafat signed the ag-
reement -six weeks ago in
Damascus during a secret
meeting with two political
deputies of Secretary Gen-
eral Kurt Waldheim.
The agreement permits
the PLO to send in large
numbers of terrorists into
the southern Lebanon areas
from where hiraeli forces
pulled back," the TV report
alleged. "Since the agree-
ment, there have been no
clashes between the United
Nations and infiltrators,
and increasing numbers of
terrorists continue to enter
the area," the correspon-
dent claimed.

JERUSALEM — Raz
Feige, a ninth grader study-
ing computer science at the
ORT Technical School in
Givatayim, has designed a
computer program which
calculates the location of
the European meteorologi-
cal satellite.
Raz's tables are now used
by the Meteorological Ser-
vices of Israel's Ministry of
Transportation in their
daily task of locating the
meteorological satellite and
receiving data from it.
JERUSALEM (ZINS) —
The number of West Bank
and Gaza Arabs employed
in Israel has dropped from
80,000 in 1974 to 63,000 in
1978, despite a labor shor-
tage.
An estimated 20,000
Arab laborers have moved
to oil producing countries
where they can earn more.
