TEL AVIV (JTA) —
Claiming that he does "not
believe the Arabs are
genuine in their peace seek-
ing," Prof. Yuval Ne'eman,
former president of Tel Aviv
University, predicted that
the Arabs will wage war
against Israel within
three-four years regardless
of whether a peace treaty is
signed.
Ne'eman, a physicist and
former chief of army intelli-
gence, offered his views in
an interview published in
Ya'ad, a publication of the
National Working and Stu-
dent Youth.
According to Ne'eman,
any withdrawal by Israel
from Sinai, the Golan
Heights or the West Bank
within the next three years
would only increase the
chances of an Arab attack
on Israel. He said Premier
Menahem Begin's offer of
self rule to the West Bank
Arabs "is nothing but a time
bomb that the Israeli gov-
ernment is planting against
Israel."

Shooting is contemplated in
Kenya, Swasiland, Califor-
nia, and oddly enough in
Rhodesia.
Foreman sees in the
forthcoming film a story of
love and inter-racial un-
derstanding, with a "High
Noon" quality. He compares
Woods' situation with his
own past when he left the
U.S. during the McCarthy
era and became an exile in
England.

STANLEY KRAMER
has moved his motion pic-
ture activities to Seattle,
now partnering with Mel-
vin Simon, the Indianapolis
shopping center tycoon
who turned film producer
and financeer. Kramer
plans to return to his origi-
nal concept of low-budgeted
pictures of the early 1950s
when he made such all-time
classics as "Champion" and
"Home of the Brave" limit-
ing his shooting to five
weeks plus two weeks on-
camera rehearsals.
"The Runner Stumbles,"
his first at the Seattle
studio, is a love story and
stars Dick Van Dyke. Next
he will do, "The Last of the
Marx Bros. Writers," from
the recent Los Angeles
stage hit.

Church Criticism
of Israel Blasted

NEW YORK (JTA) —
The Synagogue Council of
America (SCA) has accused
the governing board of the
National Council of
Churches (NCC) of "man-
ifest prejudice" for con-
demning Israel's use of the
cluster bomb during its in-
cursion into south Lebanon
last March.
Rabbi Saul I. Teplitz, the
SCA's president, said the
resolution on the NCC pre-
pared by the organization's
committee on inter-
religious affairs, headed by
Rabbi Mordechai Waxman,
of Temple Israel, Great
Neck, N.Y., was unanim-
ously approved by the SCA's
six constituent synagogues
and rabbinic bodies.
The NCC resolution did
not mention the March 11
terrorist raid that prompted
Israel's invasion of Leba-
_ non.
