Hadassah Slates Its First
Annual Confab in Israel.

NEW YORK —Hadassah
will celebrate Israel's 30th
anniversary by holding its
annual national convention
there Sept. 19-25.
Bernice S. Tannenbaum,
national president of
Hadassah, announced that
the 64th annual national
convention — the first
Hadassah convention in Is-
rael — will include plenary
sessions and workshops in
- Jerusalem and Tel Aviv, as

vention chairman and Ruth

The convention is open
to delegates, Hadassah
members, their husbands
and children, Hadassah
Associates and Hadassah
Founders. There are four
packages-10-,15-, 16 - or
22-day tours which in-
clude fare, hotel, tours
and special events.
In a related development,
a galaxy of stars — men,
women, entertainers, de-
signers, Christians and
Jews — have volunteered
their talents to broadcast
the Hadassah story over the
nation's airwaves on behalf
of the 1978,79 Hadassah
membership campaign.

A graduate of Michigan
State University, Kim has
performed with the
Chamber Music Orchestra
and the Opera Orchestra
and band. She is the reci-
pient of the Robert C.J.
Traub Memorial Scholar-
ship and has received scho-
larships from the Birmin-
gham Musicale and from
the music fraternity.
Her sister, Cindy, a re-
gistered music therapist
holds Bachelor of Music
Therapy and Bachelor of
Music Education degrees

Rabbi Jacob Weinberg,
talmudic scholar and
teacher, will deliver an ad-
dress at a parlor meeting on
behalf of Torah Umesorah 8
p.m. Monday in the home of
Mr. and Mrs. Marvin Ber-
lin, 18251 Onyx, Southfield.
Chairmen are Harry
Zekelman and David S.
Tanzman. Amos Bunim of
New York, associate chair-
man of the board of Torah
Umesorah, will report on
the international educa-
tional organization's new
programs on behalf of South
American Jewish com-
munities.
Rabbi Weinberg is rash
yeshiva of New Israel Rab-
binical College in Balti-
more. He serves on the ad-
visory committee for Torah
Umesorah.

Israel's 30th anniversary, to

Beth El Re-Elects Novick

Marvin Novick was re-
elected president of Temple
Beth El at its 128th annual
meeting. Other officers are:
Mrs. Arthur R. Bloom and
Marvin H. Goldman, vice
presidents; Paul J. Dizik,
treasurer; and Milton H.
Dresner, secretary.
