been ordained a rabbi and
Mrs. Gail Posner Karp has
been invested as a cantor by
Hebrew Union College-
Jewish Institute of Relig-
ion.
Rabbi Caminker and
Cantor Karp are members
of Detroit's Temple Israel
and graduates of its religi-
ous school.
Rabbi Caminker was
graduated 'from Michigan
State University, where he
earned a Bachelor of Arts
degree. During his five
years of training for the
rabbinate at Hebrew Union
College, which included a
year of study at its
Jerusalem school, he served
as a student rabbi at a
number of synagogues, in-
cluding Temple Bnai Israel
in Petoskey, Mich., and
Temple Beth El, Niagara
Falls, N.Y.
Mrs. Karp attended the
University of Michigan
for one year before enrol-
ling in the Hebrew Union

and Mrs. Harry A. Krandall
of Phoenix, Ariz., were hon-
ored by their children Sun-
day at a brunch at North-
land Inn on the occasion of
their 50th wedding an-
niversary.
Their children are Mr.
and Mrs. Saul (Ruth) Raimi
of Oak Park, Judie of Madi-
son Heights and Neil of Cin-
cinnati, Ohio. They have
four grandchildren.
The couple were married
May 31, 1928, in Brooklyn,
N.Y. They lived 42 years in
Detroit prior to moving to
Arizona.
