form Jewish Appeal dinner
sponsored by the Metropoli-
tan Detroit Federation of
Reform Synagogues will be
held 6:30 p.m. Sunday at
Temple Beth El.
The occasion will serve to
honor local philanthropist
Benard L. Maas, who will
receive a special award "for
his work on behalf of youth
and the Reform movement."
Making the presentation
will be Matthew H. Ross,
chairman of the board of
trustees of the Union of
American Hebrew Congre-
gations, the parent body of
Reform Judaism in the U.S.
and Canada.
The UAHC is com-
prised of 715 Reform
congregations, including
the members of the local
Federation of Reform
Synagogues, Temples
Beth El, Emanu-El, Is-
rael, Hol Arai and Beth
Jacob.
Mrs. Nathan L. Fink is
chairman of the dinner,
with Marshall B. Madison,
Bernard E. Linden, Mrs.
Marshall Miller and Rabbi
