30th Anniversary Award
from the Israel Bond Organ-
ization last night for his
outstanding leadership and
dedicated service to the fi-

Daniel Rosenbaum Named
JNF Assistant Director
Daniel Rosenbaum, son of
Rabbi and Mrs. Milton
Rosenbaum, has assumed
the position of assistant di-
rector of the Jewish Na-
tional Fund, Greater De-
troit and Michigan Region.

Rosenbaum will assist
Percy Kaplan, the JNF
executive director.
Born in Ft. Worth, Texas,
Rosenbaum came to Detroit
in 1956 when Rabbi Rosen-
baum became spiritual
leader of Temple Emanu-El.
He received a BA degree in
history and Judaic studies
from the University of
Michigan. While at U of M,
he participated in Samba-
tyon and Hillel. He also
studied at the Hebrew
Union College — Jewish In-
stitute of Religion in
Jerusalem and Cincinnati.
Before coming to the
JNF, Rosenbaum was
co-founder of MAKOM —
The Chicago Jewish Ex-
perience, an experimen-
tal synagogue in Chicago.
He actively participated
in organizational and
musical activities there.

the 25th anniversary of the
Kerem beYavneh Seminary
in Israel and to mark the es-
tablishment of a schol-
arship fund in memory of
the late Mrs. Brunhild
Kapustin, wife of Rabbi
Max Kapustin, will be held
8 p.m. Wednesday in the
home of Dr. and Mrs. Arnold

Guest speaker will be
Rabbi Chaim Goldwicht,
dean of the seminary. The
seminary initiated the hes-
der arrangement with the
Israel army, now folloived
by the Bnei Akiva move-
ment. The arrangement
allows for students to divide
their time between studies
and service in the army.
Samuel Kapustin, son
of the former Hillel direc-
tor at Wayne State Uni-
versity and the late Mrs.
Kapustin, is an alumnus
of the seminary.
