Religious School Teachers
Get Certification Awards
Four religious school teachers, Sylvia Levitsky,
Elena Glasier and Linda Brodsky, all of Temple Is-
rael, and Phyllis Paysner of Temple Beth El, received
certification awards from the Metropolitan Detroit
Federation of Reform Synagogues' College of Jewish
Studies at the Isaac Mayer Wise Sabbath Service con-
ducted by the Reform Federation. Shown are, from

Emil Gorevets will head-

performance will benefit
the Association of Invalids
and Veterans of World War
II who emigrated to the
United States from the
USSR and East European
Countries, Inc., an organ-
ization of Jewish immig-
rants.
Joining Gorevets in the
concert, entitled "Sing, My
Dinner, Auction
at Adat Shalom
Adat Shalom Synagogue
will sponsor a dinner and
art auction beginning with
a cocktail preview at 5:30
p.m. May 21 in the
synagogue.
Artists whose works will
be displayed include
Charles Levier, John
Adamos Manol, Edna Hibel,
Marilyn Sica, Walter Kow-
alski and Dominick Min-
golla. There also will be
original oils, limited edition
graphics, sculptures, clois-
sone enamels and other art
works.
There is a charge for
dinner and the auction. Pro-
ceeds will benefit
synagogue projects, includ-
ing adult education, cul-
tural events, youth pro-
grams and the like. For
