It was like Yom Kippur at
Cong. Shaarey Zedek.
Announcement of the ap-
pearance of Senator Daniel
Patrick Moynihan for the
Lichter Memorial Lecture,
Sunday evening, drew
many hundreds far in ad-
vance of the lecture time of 8
p.m. The parking lot was
jammed and it was neces-
sary for attendees to utilize
the lawn to park cars.
The cultural committee
headed by Dr. and Mrs.
Peter Martin immediately
arranged to have the main
sanctuary opened for the
lecture and it and the social
hall on the left were used for
the event. The more than

Moynihan said this worry

U.S. foreign policy, includ-
ing the "plane package" for
Israel, Egypt and Saudi
Arabia.
