Close PLO Office
ZOA Asks U.S.

NEW YORK — "The
claim of the former chief of
the New York office of the
FBI, J. Wallace LaPrade,
that covert investigations of
the FBI in 1973 had un-
covered a PLO-
Weatherman plot to blow up
Israeli buildings in New
York is but another exam-
ple of the terrorist activities
of the PLO," according to
Rabbi Joseph P. Sternstein,
president of the Zionist
Organization of America.
In a letter addressed to
Secretary of State Cyrus
Vance, Rabbi Sternstein
called the FBI disclosure
"additional evidence which
makes it imperative that
PLO operations in the
United States be ended."
He urged the Secretary of
State to take the "necessary
measures" which will result
in closing the PLO office
now located in New York.
"It is inconceivable," said
Rabbi Sternstein, "that we
should allow murderers and
terrorists, people who flout
the laws of our land, to live
among us, endangering the
lives of our citizens."

Be an associate of great
men, that the people may
bow to thee. —The Talmud
