are sponsoring "Passport to
Your Heritage," a program
which will examine Jewish
family roots, for younger
leaders of the Jewish Wel-
fare Federation and Allied
Jewish Campaign-Israel
Emergency Fund on May
The program will begin at
8:15 p.m. at the Jewish
Community Center. Histo-
rian and author Max Di-
mont will be guest speaker.
Participants are being
asked to provide some back-
ground information on their
families, including country

and town of origin, year of
arrival in the U.S. This in-
formation will - be incorpo-
rated into the program.
Robert M. Citrin and Ed-

chairmen for the evening.
Joel D. Gershenson is
regional chairman of the
UJA Young Leadership
Cabinet. Other local mem-

New York Magazine article
written by Sol Stern claims
that the former president of
the World Jewish Congress,
Nahum Goldmann, has told
Secretary of State Cyrus
Vance and National
Security Adviser Zbigniew
Brzezinski that they must
"break the Jewish lobby" in
the U.S.
Goldmann also was sup-
posed to have called the
Conference of Presidents of
Major American Jewish
Organizations "a major obs-
tacle" to Middle East peace
and "a destructive force."
