We are a people of memory. At
is this more apparent than this

For four days, sitting in front, ,::,
television sets, we have reliV
most horrible crime in Jewish hitite* -
And we remember.

Tonight, we retell the narrative of the.
Exodus from Egypt, the Haggadah re - ,-
calling the message of liberation, of
hope and fulfillment. And we remember.

Both of these events lead us to a third
that binds us in Jewish Peoplehood.
Thirty years ago, we witnessed the re-
birth of the State of Israel and 'of our
Jewish pride. And we remember.

But remembering is not enou;
Wednesday evening, we will br .

fusion the 1978 Allied Jewish
aign-Israel Emergency Fund. In
■ ast to the Jewish State on its
:anniversary, we will be mindful
trael's survival is intertwined with
bwn, that its strength is a test of
r Commitment to our People and our
competence before challenge.

.

We have never been found wanting be-
fore. We dare not grow tired now. We
ask you to give generously to the Allied
Jewish Campaign-Israel Emergency
Fund.

In that dramatic outpouring of love and
concern for our brothers in Israel and
around the world, we will truly de-
