Seder Planned

The Haverim House, the
Detroit residence for Jewish
retarded adults, will hold its
annual Pesach Seder 6 p.m.
today in the home.
The Seder will be con-
ducted by Uri Segal, an Is-
raeli graduate student at
Lawrence Institute of
Technology, who has led
past Seders for the resi-
dents.

Each of the residents
has invited a guest to the
Seder, and all will par-
ticipate in the reading of
the Haggada. The tradi-
tional Seder will make
use of Haggadot pre-
sented by El Al Israel Air-
lines. All of the residents
assisted in the prepara-
tions for the Seder and
meal following.

The new executive direc-
tor of Haverim House, Joyce
Keller, and houseparents,
Mr. and Mrs. Ken (Pat)
Beck will be on hand to as-
sist with the Seder.

Center Groups
Join for Seders

The Wednesday Night
Socialites, a recreational
group for young adults with
special needs, joined the
senior adults of the Golden
Friendship Circle of the
Jewish Community Center
last week for their annual
Passover observance at the
10 Mile Center branch.
Traditional songs were
sung, and then the gioups
joined for refreshments.
Advisers Shirlee Wyman
and Maury Kroopnick
worked with the individuals
for weeks prior to the obser-
vance to prepare the pro-
gram. Music therapist
Cheryl Canvasser accom-
panied the gathering on
piano.
The Wednesday Night
Socialites are sponsored by
the Northwest Child Rescue
Women. For information on
