Reinharz to Give
Holocaust Talk

Interfaith Seder
for Temple Youth

Dr. Jehuda Reinharz of
the Department of History
of the University of Michi-
gan in Ann Arbor, will lead
a seminar on "The
Holocaust and Its Implica-
tions for the Jewish Com-
munity of Today" 8 p.m.
Sunday at Temple Beth El.

The Temple Beth El
Youth Group will hold a
model interfaith Seder 2
p.m. Sunday in the temple.
All ninth through 12th
graders are invited. Admis-
sion is by bringing at least
one non-Jewish friend.

The community is in-
vited. This seminar is co-
sponsored by the Commu-
nity Relations Committee
and the Commission on
Jewish Education of the
Flint Jewish Community
Council.

Seniors to Meet
for a Luncheon

The Senior Friendship
Club will meet for a lunch-
eon, sponsored by Jack
Conte on the occasion of his
69th birthday, noon May 4
at Temple Beth El.
Prospective members are
invited. Gonte is president
of the club.

Interfaith Meetings in Spain

ROME. (JTA) — The
image of Judaism in Chris-
tian education and Chris-
tianity in Jewish education
was the main subject of dis-
cussions at the seventh an-
nual meeting of the Inter-
national Liaison Commit-
tee between the Catholic
Church and Judaism in
Madrid, Spain earlier this
month.
The committee held its
first session at the Transito
Synagogue in Toledo to
commemorate the Jewish
presence in Spain before the
expulsion in 1492 and then
moved for the working con-
ference to the Centro Com-
anal of the Comunidad Is-
raelite in Madrid. Papers on
education were read by
clergymen from Europe and
the United States.
The second part of the
meeting was devoted to in-
formation on Israel's new
law against proselytism,
the human rights situation

Dr. Max S. Hart, a Flint
dentist, died April 9 at age
69.
Born in England, Dr.
Hart was a member of Tem-
ple Beth El, member and
past president of Bnai
Brith, past president of the
Michigan State_ Dental
Association,- past president
of the Genesee County De-
ntal Society, fellow of the
American Academy of De-
ntal Medicine and a fellow
of the International
Academy of Dental
Medicine. He also served in
the U.S. Navy.
Dr. Hart, who resided at
1822 Rockcreek Ln., is sur-
vived by his wife, Dorothy;
two sons, Clifford and Dr.
William of Ann Arbor; a sis-
ter, Ida Freid; a brother,
Morris Freidman of Ann
Arbor; and five
grandchildren.

Beach, Fla., at age 82.

brother, Barnard of Miami
Beach, Fla.; a sister, Anne
Mufson of Miami Beach;
and five grandchildren.
