THE DETROIT JEWISH NEWS

NOT HUNGRY?
DON'T COME TO

Danny Raskin's

LISTENING
POST

BACK FROM LAS
VEGAS . . . where we at-
tended the testimonial din-
ner given Sid "Hudosh"
Hudson as City of Hope Man
of the Year.
The glamorous event held
in the elegant convention
center of the Las Vegas Hil-
ton Hotel was indeed a great
tribute to former Detroiter
Sid, with over 1,000 people
giving this man his well-
deserved honor.
About $400,000 has been
given to the City of Hope in
Duarte, Calif., for its
nationwide "think tank"
medical research in causes
and cures of catastrophic
diseases . . plus an ileitis
fellowship foundation in
Sid's name.

So many people . . . so
many Detroiters and ex-
localites . . . the names
much too numerous to
mention.

Radio Station KVOV in
Henderson was excellent
. . . Everybody connected
with the affair did a superb
job.
It has been said by many
that a man who has friends
is a wealthy person . . . If
this be so, Sid "Hudosh"
Hudson is certainly one of
the wealthiest men in the
world.

Our new menu
has a few
choice words for you.

Our exciting new menu is filled with some rather choice words.
Like U.S.D.A. Choice New York Strip. U.S.D.A. Choice sirloin sizzler.
U.S.D.A. Choice steak, with shrimp. In all, we have four U.S.D.A.
Choice meats to choose from. Plus several other new food items, and
an expanded salad bar.
We believe it's a great new menu. And we'd like you to look it
over. And then, we'd like you to eat our words.

REAL "CLOAK AND

DAGGER" surprise 70th
birthday party was given
Jack Munson . . . He was
brought back from his home
in Florida on the pretext of
being needed for tax infor-
mation . . . with one invi-
tation printed to send to
Jack and wife Evelyn for an
anniversary party on that
date at the Furniture Club.

Party was given by Eve-
lyn, son Steve, daughter
Denny and daughter-in-law
Linda . . . with Jack being
presented with a most un-
usual 70th birthday gift
. . . but no doubt something
he wanted . . . a Honda
motorcycle.
