Louis Segel, past presi-
dent of the Metropolitan
Detroit Bnai Brith Council,
and Irene Rodman, a past
president of the Bnai Brith
Women's Council, will serve
as chairmen of the 12th
annual Bnai Brith Presi-
dents Brunch which will
take place 9:30 a.m. April 2
at Adat Shalom Synagogue.
The event, which will
celebrate Israel's 30th an-
niversary, will be held in
cooperation with the Jewish
National Fund. Barry
Farber, nationally known
TV talk show host, will
speak.
The presidents of the
Bnai Brith Council, Ernest
Shaw and Linda Moss, will
be honored with the plant-
ing of a garden of 100 trees
each in their names. Each of
the presidents of the 24
lodges and 25 chapters and
units will be honored with
"Chai-to-life" (18 trees).
Tree and Tribute chairmen
will receive citations.

Monday at the Zionist Cul-
tural Center.
Philip Slomovitz, editor
and publisher of The Jewish
News, will report on the
proceedings of the World
Zionist Congress held in Is-
rael which -he attended as a
delegate. He was also a de-
legate to the American
Jewish Press Association
Conference held in Israel.
Slomovitz is a founder of
JNF in Detroit and was the
first president. Detroit JNF
is celebrating its 60th an-
niversary.
There will be progress re-
ports and a discussion of the
JNF events in the coming
months. Purim refresh-
ments will be served.
