Pianist Fedora Horowitz
to Appear for Music Club

Concert pianist Fedora
Horowitz will perform at a
members-only meeting of
the Music Study Club of
Metropolitan Detroit 12:30
p.m. Tuesday in the home of
Mrs. Jerry C. Rosenberg,
8544 Huntington Rd., Hun-
tington Woods. Ms.
Horowitz will give a
lecture-recital on the piano
compositions of Scriabin,
Rachmanioff and Prokofiev.
Born in Romania, Ms.
Horowitz performed with
the Romanian Broadcast
Orchestra at age 12. She
was graduated with honors
from the State Conservat-
ory of Bucharest. She has
appeared regularly with the
Israel Broadcast Symphony
Orchestra and joined the
staff of the Rubin Academy
of Music in Jerusalem.
She served on the fa-
culty of the University of
North Carolina at Chapel
Hill. She moved to Detroit
in 1973 and has since ap-
peared with the Center
Symphony Orchestra, in
