THRU SAT., 4 to u ROADHOUSE CJF Office Set Danny Raskin's LISTENING POST IF YOU LIKE veal or eggplant, you'll thoroughly enjoy the Veal Francesco at Roman Terrace . . . Be- sides being somewhat of an exclusive at the 12 Mile and Orchard Lake spot, it is one of the complete dinners for two featured on the fifth anniversary menu for March. Veal Francesco (eggplant stuffed with veal, cheese, artichoke hearts and capicola, baked, covered with peeled tomato sauce and Parmigiana cheese)• was enjoyed most thoroughly . . . The service accorded us by excellent waitress Laura Magyari made the evening even bet- ter with her smile, gracious ways and most pleasurable know-how. Bob McDonald and Bob Fraccia, owners of the Roman Terrace, are a couple of very personable gents to whom everyone of- fers only good wishes on another anniversary, March 15 . . Roman Ter- race seems to get even bet- ter as the years go by. BELATED BIRTHDAY congrats . . . to likeable Jimmy Lauce of WJR radio. OLD SIGN over the bar at Cordoba's, on Seven Mile west of Middlebelt . . . "Barry's Tricopherous es- tablished 1801. Guaranteed to restore the hair to bald heads and to make it thick, long and soft." SURPRISE 25TH wed- ding anniversary party was given for Eileen and Syd Bluestone, president of Sen- try Drugs, by their youngsters, Michelle, Neil and Pam. They drove mom and dad all over the city after letting them know about their being given a surprise party . . . Eileen and Syd kept guessing wrong at various stops . . and the most il- logical place turned out to be the cafeteria at Wayne State U. College of Phar- macy. BONNIDp-, PAPPAS, waitress at Grecian Palace, on TelegrapUnd 10 Mile, in the 'Kelr Shopping Center, gets big nod for her experienced ways of doing things . . . and that pleasant smile. BIRTHDAY CON- GRATS . . . to Kaggie Glazer. SON SCOTT recom- mends the farmer's salad at Point After Deli, 12 Mile and Northwestern. FELT LIKE A good piece of broiled white fish while on Woodward . .. and went to Dimitri Nikos, just south of 11 Mile . . . As most ev- erything there, the fresh fish served by smiling, pleasant waitress Sue Chalmers, was very good. MANY YEARS AGO, Dr. Alvin Skelly. of the De- troit Board of Education was leaving town and asked Morrie Felsenfeld, as a favor, to take his 16-year- old son Selden and buy him an overcoat for his high school graduation. Morrie took Seldon to his favorite clothier and bought him a grey tweed coat, which he loved . . . Being 16 and impressionable, Sel- den thought this was the ni- cest thing that ever hap- pened to him. Every so often, as the years went by, Selden, even while serving a tour in Korea, would call and re- mind Morrie of his grey tweed coat, that he still had it and hadn't bought a coat since then. Now 34 years of age, he is Dr Selden Skelly and Morrie attended his wedding . . . As he stood waiting to congratulate the newly married couple, Morrie was spot- ted by Selden, who left the receiving line, put his arms around him and said "Morrie, I want to show you something." Morrie followed him to the check room, and Selden asked him to wait a moment . . . He then stepped out wearing the same grey tweed coat that Morrie helped buy for him 18 years ago . . Selden was still thrilled with the memory of his coat. "He has never bought a coat since then," writes Morrie, "and wore it to his wedding. It still looked fresh and new." TENTH ANNIVER- SARY of the Channel 56 Auction will be April 7-15. A LOCAL LASS has been chosen the outstand- ing employee of the entire Hilton Hotels chain. She's Sue Miller, waitress at the Wicker Works of Northfield Hilton . . . Be- cause of her outstanding abilities as a waitress, Art Gimson, general manager of the hotel at Crooks and 1-75 in Troy, submitted her entry for the highest recog- nition any Hilton employee can receive. Sue and her husband will receive an all-expense paid one-week trip to Hawaii and $500 spending money.
