as DZF's Scholar-in-Residence

The Detroit Zionist Fed-
eration will host Yehuda
Nini of Israel as its scholar-
in-residence Sunday
through April 2. Nini will
speak to area groups on
The Co-Existence of Jews
in Moslem Countries" and
"The Current Situation in
the Middle East."
Born in pre-state Israel of
parents who emigrated
from Yemen, Nini jpined
the Hagana in 1944 and
later fought in Israel's war
for independence. He also
served with the Israel prime
minister's office.
A lecturer at Tel Aviv
University and at the
Kibutz Movement
Teachers College, Nini
was educated at the
Teachers Seminary of the
Kibutz Movement, Heb-
rew University and at Tel
Aviv University, where
he earned master's and
doctorate degrees in his-
tory and Middle Eastern
studies.

Pro-Arabs Attack
Jewish Students

BRUSSELS (JTA) —
Some 50 pro-Palestinian
demonstrators tried last
week to disrupt a seminar
organized by the Belgian
Jewish Students Union . at
Brussels University.
The demonstrators, who
wore steel helmets and car-
ried truncheons and chains,
were beaten back by the au-
dience. The seminar was
able to continue after a brief
interruption.
• Two of the attackers were
arrested by police and sev-
eral of the Jewish students
who attended the meeting
were injured.
