RIETS came into being
under a New York State

The school was named to
perpetuate the memory of
Rabbi Isaac Elchanan Spek-

study for a new generation
to serve the American-
Jewish community.
The two schools merged
in 1915 and grew to today's
structure headquartered at
2540 Amsterdam Ave., at
186th Street in Manhat-

RIETS today encompas-
ses several educational
programs for 200 senior
rabbinic students and more
than 500 students who are
attending on various levels
from a number of schools on
the east and west coasts and

The RIETS program is
divided into preparatory
and graduate units. Stu-
