Talk Show Host Farber
to Address BB Brunch

Barry Farber, nationally
known TV talk show host,
will be the guest speaker at
the 12th annual Bnai Brith
Presidents Brunch 9:30
a.m. April 2 at Adat Shalom
Synagogue. The event is
being held in cooperation
with the Jewish National
Fund. The event will also
celebrate Israel's 30th an-
niversary.
The presidents of the
Metropolitan Detroit Bnai
Brith Men's and Women's
Councils, as well as the
presidents of the 24 lodges
and 25 chapters and units
will be honored with the
planting of tree projects in
the Martyrs Forest and tree
tributes chairmen will -re-
ceive citations.
Besides Detroit, the
"Barry Farber Show" is
seen in Boston, Chicago,
Philadelphia and San Fran-
cisco. A journalist, Farber
covered Castro's takeover of
Cuba, the Hungarian Re-
volt of 1956 and events in
Russia and Biafra. His arti-
cles have appeared in the
New York Times, The
Saturday Review, Reader's
Digest, The Washington
Post and other publications.
His program on WOR in
New York has been syndi-
cated to 25 stations nation-
ally.
Farber was a Conser-
vative Party candidate
for mayor of New York
last year and also ran for
Congress. He was chosen
by Artists and Writers for
Peace in the Middle East
to present the appeal for
a strong pro-Israel plank
at the Republican Na-

Rabbi and Mrs. James I.
Gordon of Oak Park, has
been named director of edu-
cation for the World Union
of Jewish Students on the
European Continent.
Based in London, he will
plan and coordinate all
campus programs for Euro-
pean Jewish students in-
cluding weekend retreats,
seminars and periodicals.
He also will be in charge of
the Youth Leadership
Training Institute in Arad,
— Israel,. in July. .

open house for parents and
children 2-5 p.m. Sunday at
the nursery school at Tem-
ple Emanu-El.
Parents and children will -
have an opportunity to see

staff. Registration is now

The curriculum includes
language development,
cognitive activities, arts
and crafts, cooking experi-
ences, science, puppetry,
