Paula Borenstein, public
relations representative for
the Joint Distribution
Committee's office in Fr-
ance, will address four
meetings next week.
Mrs. Borenstein, a sur-
vivor of the Nazi ghetto of
Vilna and of concentration
camps, has been on the staff
of the JDC's Paris office
since 1948 and is an author-
ity on the problems of
Jewish refugees overseas.
She was a school girl in
Vilna, Lithuania, when
World War II began. Her
parents, brother and sister
were killed by the Germans

staff of a Yiddish news-
paper in Paris. She began
work for the JDC shortly
thereafter as a Yiddish
writer and interpreter.

honored by the Food and
Services Division at a
cocktail reception at 8 p.m.
Monday at the Southfield
home of Irving Laker.

will address a joint meeting
of the Educational Services
and Social Service Sections
at 8 p.m. at the Southfield-
Sheraton Hotel. Dr. Walter
E. Klein chairs the Social

dress a noon luncheon meet-
ing Wednesday of the
Synagogues and Schools
Section in the board room of
the Jewish Community

be publicly excommuni-
cated from the Jewish faith
March 19 at the New York
Hilton for "actively engag-
ing in the physical and
spiritual destruction of the
Jewish people" according to
Rabbi Marvin Friedman,
executive director of the
"Supreme Rabbinic Court of
America."
According to the "Court's
halakhic decision the
Jewish Moonie leaders are
falsely telling Jews that
Moonism is a continuation
of Judaism and that by join-
ing the Unification Church,
they will be better equipped
to understand Judaism.
They are indoctrinating and
programming Jewish youth
to die for the Unification
Church and Sun Myung
Moon."
