Mission Slated by_ Local Friends of Hebrew U.

A special mission to Israel
for the 1978 board of gover-
nors meetings of the Heb-
rew University was an-
nounced by Erwin C.
Ziegelman, president,
Michigan Chapter, Ameri-
can Friends of the Hebrew

University. The delegation
will leave Detroit April 1.
The board of governors
meetings this year will
celebrate the 60th anniver-
sary of the founding of the
Hebrew Universtiy and the
30th anniversary of the

With more than 1,000 re-
cipes, tried and - approved
authoritatively for kashrut,
"The Passover Feast II,"
second such volume in a
series, has been published
by the West Orange, N.J.,
Chapter of American Miz-
rachi Women.
The 384-page project is
being acclaimed as the most
comprehensive work of its
kind of Passover recipes. It
is pointed out that many of
the recipes can be applied
for hametz usage.
A special feature of the
cookbook is a large number
of "non-gebrocht" recipes
for those people who follow
this Passover custom.

The book begins with a
chapter on the seder
plate, with a detailed de-
scription on how to set it
up, including a variety of
ways to make haroset.

The book has appetizer,
salad, soup, dessert and be-
verage sections. Almost
every permissible Passover
vegetable is featured in at
least one recipe so that the
cooking can be nutritious,
as well as varied. Meat and
poultry dishes are con-
tained in a 63-page section.
There is a variety of fish
dishes, including cas-
seroles, fish loaves, baked,
stuffed, boiled and broiled
fish.

Rabbi to Discuss Religious Cults

Rabbi Maurice Davis of
the Jewish Community
Center of White Plains,
N.Y., will speak on "Religi-
ous Cults" 8 p.m. Sunday at
Temple Beth El.
Rabbi Davis was ordained
by the Hebrew Union Col-
lege.
He was assistant rabbi at
the Euclid Ave. Temple in
Cleveland, Ohio, and was
spiritual leader at Temple
