Israel Emergency Fund

Prof. Sobel, a native of
New York city and a PhD
graduate of the New School
of Social Research, is a
sociologist and researcher,
with several grants and
awards to his credit.
He taught at Miami and
Brandeis universities be-
fore joining the faculty at
Haifa in 1969. A member of
the Israel Board of Higher
Education, he has been pub-
lished in numerous profes-
sional and general journals.

for Annual Art, Antiques Show

Temple Israel Sisterhood members prepare for the
women's annual Art and Antiques Show to be held
March 5-8 at the - main Jewish Community Center
complex. The show will feature the sisterhood gift and
boutique shop, a greenery and a "trifles and trea-
sures" booth. Rabbi Harold S. Loss, spiritual leader of
the temple, will speak 7 p.m. March 5; Dale Ross, an-
tiques specialist will speak 11 a.m. March 6; there will
be a fashion show 11 a.m. March 7 and Rabbi M.
Robert Syme, spiritual leader of the temple, will speak
11 a.m. March 8. Hours are noon-9 p.m. March 5 and 11
