Cohen= Family Establishes Recreational
Park in North Galilee Through JNF

A recreational' park is
being established in north-
ern Galilee in memory of
Herman K. Cohen, leader in
Orthodox Jewish circles, as
a result of a bequest left by
him. The project is being
developed through the
Jewish National Fund.
It will be known as "The
Herman K. Cohen and Ethel
B. Cohen Forest Re-
creational Park." It will be
located in the new forest
park and nature reserve at
Nahal Meron, just west of
Safed along the Akko-Safed
highway and immediately
south of the ancient tomb of
Rabbi Shimon Bar Yokhai.
The Cohens, lifetime sup-
porters of JNF, previously
planted the Herman K. and
Ethel Cohen Woodland near
Kiryat Shmona and planted
a Mile of Trees in the Negev
in memory of Mr. Cohen's
mother.
Born in Russia, Mr.
Cohen lived 54 years in
Detroit. He was a 1932
graduate .of the.!,Detroit
