Detroiter to Win
Leadership Prize
at JWB Confab
Sholem Aleichem Art Show
Begins Today at Shenandoah
Mrs. Harry Roth, chairman of the 15th annual
Sholem Aleichem Institute art show and sale, holds an
example of the works to be exhibited, a painting by
Susan Heideman. The art show and sale will take
place today through Sunday at the Shenandoah
Country Club. Works in all media by Michigan artists
will be displayed at the show. Hours are 11 a.m.-5 p.m.
and 8 p.m.-10 p.m. today, 11 a.m.-10 p.m. Saturday, and
11 a.m.-5 p.m. Sunday.
Main Jewish Center Scene
of Holocaust History Class
"The History of the
Holocaust," a course offered
through the University
Center for Adult Education
will begin 1 p.m. Tuesday at
the main Jewish Commun-
ity Center in West Bloom-
field.
Taught by Margaret Sil-
verman Eichner, the course
will focus on the history of
modern anti-Semitism, the
Nazis and the Jews (1933-
1939), the Eastern Euro-
pean Jewish reaction,
characteristics of ghetto
life, Jewish resistance, the
last stage in the world of the
dying, the American reac-
tion, Roosevelt and the
State Department, and the
Church then and Jewish
theology now.
Mrs. Eichner earned a
bachelor's degree at
Wayne State University
and an MA degree from
the University of Michi-

briefings on reconnaissance
drones with visible light

ogy magazine, the U.S. air

National Jewish Welfare
