AARON ROSENBAUM
Rosenbaum, who is also a
member of the editorial
staff of Near East Report,
has served both organiza-
tions since 1972. Since then
he helped in the preparation
of two major books on the
Middle East and edited a
third. He was the co-author
of the Near East Report
special survey, "Myths and
Facts, - which has sold
more than 300,000 copies in
seven printings.
As a ghost-writer and ana-
lyst, he has written exten-
sively on the Arab-Israel
conflict, oil, arms and the
Palestinians. He has ad-
dressed conventions and
leadership institutes
throughout the._ United
States.
Son of Rabbi and Mrs.
Milton Rosenbaum, the
younger Rosenbaum was
graduated from the Univer-
sity of Michigan where he
. was named a James B. An-
gell Scholar for his studies
in Soviet and Chinese politi-
cal science and history.

p.m. Saturday in the syna-

Civilians to Man
Israel Settlement
TEL AVIV (JTA)=-Nahal
Holit, a para-military settle-
ment in the Rafah salient of
northern Sinai, was turned
over to civilian control last
Thursday.
It has been re-named Ki-
butz Holit and is affiliated
with the Ichud Hakvutzot
Vehakibutzim, the Labor
Party's settlement move-
ment. Holit is the 13th set-
tlement in the Rafah area.

Vienna Zionist monthly, "Il-
lustrierte Neue Welt," will
celebrate its 80th anniver-
sary this year. The maga-
zine was founded in 1897 by
Theodor Herzl.
