commentary, written for
full symphony orchestra
and soprano soloist. Hart-
way is a professor music at
Wayne State University
where he is chairman of
music theory and composi-
tion. He has produced a
series of 50 videotapes of
the history of jazz which is
available for college credit.
He is involved in the

Martin Scott Kosins began
his career as a composer in
1968 and since that time has
written for all types and
sizes of instrumental com-
binations as well as ballet.
He is a recipient of the
ASCAP Composer's Award
and grants from the Music
Study Club - of Metropolitan
Detroit and the L.P. and
B.J. Miller Educational
Foundation.
As a pianist and per-
former, Kosins has ap-
peared with the Detroit
Symphony Orchestra and
has appeared at the Brunch
With Bach Series' at the De-
troit Institute of Arts. Ko-
sins' work will be per-
formed by pianist Thomas
Barna and flutist Susan
Barna.
Mrs. Lebenbom's work,
"Sephardic Songs" will be
presented with soprano
Marjorie Gordon, oboist Syl-
via Starkman, flutist Kath-
leen Chase, and pianist
Doris Eubank. Mrs. Le ben-
born, pianist and composer,
is a faculty member of the
Detroit Community Music

Hillel also will sponsor a
talk on "Sex: An Option or a
Dilemma?" noon Tuesday
at the Orchard Ridge Cam-
pus of Oakland Community
College. Guest speaker will
be Susan Shapiro of the
Problems of Daily Living
Clinic at Sinai Hospital.
The WSU Hillel group will
sponsor a coffee house 8
p.m. Wednesday at Temple
Emanu-El. The evening will
feature entertainment by
Jim Clenthorne and Rhoda
Wallace, singing, board
games, poetry reading and
refreshments. There is a

Jewish Community Center
has started a new fund:
Book Fair Patrons.
Contributors of $100 are
considered patrons, and in
gratitude for the gift are
given autographed copies of
a book by one of the Book
Fair speakers. Patrons also
are invited to meet the au-
thors at a special pre-pro-
gram cocktail reception.
More than 30 donors have
helped start the new fund.
