TEL AVIV (JTA)—Two
persons were killed and sev-
eral were injured, two of
them seriously, by a bomb
explosion Dec. 29 in the en-
trance of a house in Na-
fanya. Police cordoned off
the' area as they searched
for those responsible for the
blast.
It was the fourth incident
in what authorities believe
to be increasing terrorist
• activities in protest= against
Egyptian President Anwar
Sadat's peace initiatives.
A small bomb was found
* Dec. 28 in a plastic kit by
two Bedouins on a bus en
route from Beersheba to
Shderot in the Negev. Police
began an immediate in-
vestigation. In two other in-
cidents, a bomb exploded
Christmas.eve in Bethlehem
and Hamdi Kadi, a-Palesti-
nian official on the West
Bank employed by the Is-
raeli military government
was fatally shot while on his
way to work.
Israeli security issued a`
warning to the population to
be alert to terrorist attemps
in the aftermath of Sadat's
peace moves and urged that
people be on the outlook for
suspicious looking parcels
or packages. Meanwhile,
the extremist Democratic
Front for the Liberation of
Palestine claimed responsi-
bility for the Natanya bomb-
ing in protest against pre-
mier Menahem Begin's
Middle East peace plan.
