Mideast Envoys
Get Peace Medals

WASHINGTON (JTA)—
Israeli Anibassador Sirnha
,Dinitz and Egyptian Am
- -
bassador Ashraf Ghorbal
both expressed the hope
Tuesday for continued prog-
ress in Middle East peace
negotiations.
They voiced this hope at_a
ceremony at which they
were presented gold medals
showing Egyptian President
Anwar Sadat and Israeli
Premier Menahem Begin at
their firstmeeting in Israel
last November. '
"I only wish that before
long you will be issuing an-
other medal to com-
memorate peace," Dinitz
said to Charles Andes,
board chairman of the
Franklin Mint Corp. The
private firm that is i ss uing
the medals.
Ghorbal said that because
the Mideast issues were
being debated -"with an
open mind and with a desire
to understand each others
problem" signs were good
for a fruitful outcome, "we
hope very soon."
