I sometimes go in for a snack to the Northgate Delicates- sen on 10 Mile and Green- field, and they have two waitresses by the name of Yetta and Lottie worth men- tioning. In these days when the customer is . no longer right, they are with them. I have observed these two girls, not only efficient and with a smile, making sure to please you, but all em- ployees in the restaurant are so pleasant and so coop- erative it's unbelievable. LUNCH WAITRESS Nan- cy Kolbe at Carl's, Grand River, has been there 11 years and claims to have eaten everything that's ever been on the menu through- out the years she has been there...At least this is what she told us when we asked what was good and how then did she know it was. After inquiry as to what the soup of the day was, Nancy looked into space and said, "Chicken soup from yesterday and mushroom barley from today." Carl's is one of the choi- cest spots for tip-making by waitresses... No need for some of the girls to act disinterested in their work or serve across table when there is plenty of room to get around. RENO, NEV. is like Las Vegas _ was 18 years ago, says Sid Hudson, recently in town...a booming metropol- is...Sid will open another cleaning spot...at the Reno MGM when it says hello in May of 1978 (he's looking for a man and wife who want to go live in Reno and run it for him).
