Last year permission to emigrate was granted only to Leo's 80-year old grand- mother who had lived with, them. The family was heart- broken to separate from her, but did so in the hope that permission to reunite the family in Israel would be given. It was not. Leo's parents are in poor health. His mother, Raya, has suffered a series of heart attacks, the most re- cent this past summer, and their circumstances, they are not getting the health care they need.
