HOLIDAY PARTY FOR

sters, five to 15-years-old is
set for Dec. 18, 1 to 4 p.m.,
at Beau Jack's W. Maple, a
block west of Telegraph.
Celebrities. . . athletes,
TV, radio and news-
papers. . .will act as waiters
and waitresses dishing out a
turkey dinner with all the
trimmings. .Purveyors
are donating the food and
restaurant help giving of
their time.
There'll be gifts for the
kids from Bozo The Clown,
Santa and others. . . in a
mangificently wonderful
gesture by Jack and son
Gary at Beau Jack's.
"As a child, there were
many holidays when I went
to bed hungry," says Jack.
"Now that I can afford it,
no reason why I can't help
other youngsters have a
happy one. --

SCOTCH & SIRLOIN,

Greenfield and James Cou-
zens, has officially changed
hands. .. Former owners
Arlyn and Jerry Meyerson
will both devote full time
now to their Trio on North-
western and 12 Mile.
ANOTHER FINE wait-
ress who deserves meritous
accolades for her smile. . .
and neat efficient ways. . .
is Kim Ketcham at To-
pinka's Country House;
Telegraph and Seven Mile.

SONGSTRESS BARBARA
Tini is now- appearing at

Chambertin on Michigan in
Dearborn.

YES, THERE IS another

Boesky's Delicatessen. .
It's on Orchard Lake Rd.
and Telegraph. . . owned by
brothers Tom and Merle
Coleman, bossmen of the
one at 10 Mile and Lahser.
RESEARCH BY Jack
Freed of Red Cedars, Tele-
graph and Nine Mile, brings
info about Monk Fish.
According to Jack, Norm
Swinkowski of O'Neil &
Hoffner Fish, was in Chi-
cago 2 1/2 years ago, tasted it
and returned quite ex-
cited... However, Norm
had a difficult time having
Monk Fish merchandised by
many places. . . He even
called to tell restaurateurs
about it being the special of
the ,day.
Then came a local restau-
rant show, tells Jack, and
today it is one of the hottest
seafood items on the mar-
ket.
He says his Red Cedars
was one of the first 10 in, the
state 1 1/2 years ago to sell
Monk Fish.
IF THE OWNERS OF a
local restaurant had seen
this they'd have shuddered
with horror. . . One of their
waitresses poured coffee for
two folks who called her
over and said they didn't
want to drink it. . . She took
their cups from the table,
walked back and actually
poured the coffee back in
the glass container. . . in
full view of customers. . . a
great example of how to
best ruin a restaurant!
THE PAGODA on W.
Maple has been sold. . .New
owner takes over in about a
month. . . with Jack Prock
