Defense Forces (IDE) who
had given the highest total
blood donations during the
past year, received special
recognition and awards at a
ceremony recently- held at
the Magen David Adom
(MDA), headquarters in Tel
Aviv.
Dr. Jacob Adler, deputy
surgeon general for IDF,
lauded the honores for
their participation in MDA's
blood donation campaign.
He stated that army per-
sonnel are regular and ac-
tive MDA blood donors: "It
is a give and take situa-
tion," he said,' "since Ma-
gen David Adom is the only
body supplying the total
needs of the IDF in blood
and its components.". -
Magen David Adorn, in-
corporated by law to serve
as an auxiliary arm of the
Civil Defense and the IDF
Medical Corps, is represent-
ed-in the U.S. by American
Red Magen David for Israel
(ARMDI).
