The Haifa (Israel) office of the Arabic-language daily, "Al-Anba," published in Jerusalem, received the letter from Capt. Farrah, who was serving on the Alma Sha'ab front, not far from Kibutz Hanita. In the letter he thanked the local council of Ma'alot for its hospitality to the children of his village. The letter was delivered to the local council of Ma'alot in the same week in which the news was received that he had fallen during a terrorist attack. Six Jews from Israel attended a memorial serv- ice for him at Alma Sha'ab. Ma'alot was attacked by Palestinian terrorists oper- ating-from Lebanon on May 15,_1974. Meanwhile, 300 Lebanese Christian villagers carrying signs that said "Bring Back the Tanks - and "Israel, Don't Abandon Us" con- verged on the Israeli border recently in a demonstration calling for renewed Israeli military aid.
