Dr. Leo Schafler, British Zionist, 87 LONDON (JTA)—Dr. Leo Schafler, former deputy general secretary of the Zionist Federation of Great Britain, died recently at age 87. Born in Czernowitz, he was a pioneer of the Labor Zionist movement in Buko- vina, then part of the Austro-Hungarian empire. After World War I, he was a lawyer in Vienna until flee- ing to England in 1938.
