Brawl Started at Wiesenthal Talk RIVER GROVE. Ill.— Three men were arrested after a brief but bloody brawl between Nazis and members of an anti-Nazi group in this Chicago suburb. Six uniformed Nazis were picketing a speech by Nazi- hunter Simon Wiesenthal at Triton Community College, when a club-swinging fight started with a dozen mem- bers of a group called the Black and White Defense Committee. Extradition Ban, Immunity Waiver Planned for Israel JERUSALEM (JTA)— The Knesset's Constitution Committee approved a bill that will bar the extradition of Israeli citizens wanted for crimes abroad. Under the measure, such persons will be brought to trial in Israel. The bill differs from one sponsored by the Likud gov- emment which applied the extradition ban to crimes committed before the offen- der became an Israeli citizen. Attorney General Aharon Barak informed the com- mittee that the government has since reversed its stand and favors the provisions of the new bill aimed at pre- venting Jewish criniinals from immigrating to Israel to avoid extradition. Meanwhile. Foreign Min- ister Moshe Dayan said that he was considering the wai- ver of diplomatic immunity for Israeli diplomats who are ticketed for violating traffic regulations in the United States. Dayan spoke in response to a question in the Knesset by Likud MK Hillel Seidel who said that Israeli diplo- mats in Washington owed some $82.000 in unpaid fines for traffic and parking violations. Dayan said the diplomats incurred parking tickets because of the shortage of parking space in Washington. NEW YORK—The visit last August of Israeli Prime Minister Menahem Begin to Romania was an elec- trifying shock of pride to that country's Jewish com- munity and strengthened relationships between the two nations, according to the Chief Rabbi of Romania, Moses Rosen. Addressing a meeting of the European affairs com- mittee of the Anti-Defama- tion League of Bnai Brith, Rabbi Rosen said that Begin's appearance in Romania over a Sabbath and his warm and dignified reception by the govern- ment were perceived by the 45,000 people who constitute the Jewish community as recognition of the state of Israel and also of Judaism. Rabbi Rosen pointed out that Romanian officials were not only attentive to diplomatic niceties, but scrupulous in their obser- vance of Prime Minister Begin's religious requirements. He said that care was taken not to violate the Sab- bath in any way and that all meals served to Mr. Begin and his party observed diet- ary laws. Having An Affair?
