During seven sessions the participants visited Federation agencies and spoke with their directors and presidents, discussed Federation's budget and planning process and spoke with several members of recent study missions to Israel. Jessie Stern is Division vice-president for education; Sally Levy, associate chairman for the seminar; Sherri Lum- berg, seminar chairman; and Carolyn Greenberg, Women's Division president. Four vice chairmen and three pre-Campaign chair- men have been appointed to lead the 1978 Allied Jewish Campaign-Israel Emer- gency Fund. General Chairmen Phillip Stollman and Philip T. War- ren announced the appoint- ment of Paul Borman. Avern L. Cohn, Edwar=d C. Levy. Sr. and A. Alfred Taubman as vice chairmen. Benjamin H. Frank, Mal- colm S. Lowenstein and Graham A. Orley will chair the 1978 pre-campaign drive. Borman, a chairman of the Food Division for many years, has served as vice chairman and pre-Cam- paign chairman. Last year. he served on the Campaign Cabinet. Cohn, a Campaign vice chairman from 1974 to 1977, has also served as pre-Cam- paign - chairman. He is a member of Federation's executive committee and chairman of the National Agencies budget and plan- ning division. A member of the board of United Jewish Charities and the executive committee of the Jewish Community Council, Cohn is a national vice president of the American Jewish Committee. Levy has served as Cam- paign vice chairman since 1968. He is on the boards of United Jewish - Charities. Jewish Home for Aged, Sinai Hospital and the. Detroit Service Group. Taubman. a vice chair- man in the 1976 and 1977 Campaigns. previously served as associate chair- man, pre-Campaign chair- man and chairman of the Real Estate and Building Trades Division. He is a member of the Sinai Hospi- tal Board. Frank, a pre-Campaign associate chairman in 1977, is a member of Federation's executive committee and serves on the boards of United Jewish Charities, Jewish Home for Aged, Tamarack Hills Authority and the Detroit Service Group. Lowenstein was a pre- Campaign associate chair- man last year.
