JNF Vice President to Speak at Local JNF Donor Kick Off

Dr. Samuel I. Cohen,
executive vice president of
the Jewish National Fund of
America, will be the guest
speaker at the kick-off of
the 1977-78 donor campaign
by the Women of the Jewish
National Fund and Young
Women of JNF noon Nov. 15
at Temple Emanu-El, it was
announced by Diane. Levine,
president, and Betty Silver-
man, fund-raising
chairman.
The goal of the donor
campaign is to complete the
$250,000 Youth Summer
Camp which has been estab-
lished in the American

PART I:
1 pkg. dry yeast
1 /4 cup lukewarm water
1 /4 cup sugar
1 cup liquid non-dairy coffee
creamer
1 /2 stick margarine
1 /4 cup sugar
3 1/2-4 cups flour
1 egg

Mix yeast in warm water
with 1/4 tsp. sugar. Scald
coffee creamer. Mix hot cof-
fee creamer, ',/2 stick mar-
garine and V4 cup sugar in a
large bowl until blended.
Let cool for 10 minutes. Stir
in, with wooden spoon, 1 cup
flour. Add yeast mixture
and egg. Then, with wooden
spoon, stir in 2 1/2-3 more
cups flour, mixing well
(dough will be soft). Oil
bowl lightly and roll dough
in it to coat it. Cover dough
with a towel and let it rise
in a warm place 2 hours.

PART II.
4 tbsps. melted margarine
1 /2 cup sugar
2 1/4 tsp. cinnamon

Punch down and divide
dough into two balls. Roll
out on a floured board into a
large rectangle (dough
should be thin). Brush each
rectangle with 2 tbsps.
melted margarine. Combine
sugar and cinnamon of Part
II ingredients-and sprinkle
1 /2 of it on each rectangle.
Roll dough like a jelly roll
(the long way). Cut each
roll into 10 slices.

PART Ill:
1 cup brown sugar
1 stick margarine
2 tbsps. light corn syrup

syrup, stirring constantly on
a low flame. When marga-
rine has melted, remove
from heat. Pour 12 of mix-
ture in each of two 9x5x3-
inch loaf pans. Put slices of
`dough cut side down, 10 in a
pan, two abreast. Cover and
let rise 30 minutes. Bake 25
minutes in preheated oven_
at 375 degrees. Cool a few
minutes in pans and then
turn over on a rack. Make
sure you have a pan under
the rack as some of the
caramel will drip down.

Monday at the 10 Mile Jew-
ish Community Center
branch. Guests are
welcome.

Ordained as a rabbi in°
1956, and a graduate of
Yeshiva University, he was
awarded a doctorate in edu-
cation in 1967. An authority
on adult Jewish education,
Dr. Cohen has published
many articles and studies in
national publications and
has taught and lectured in
the field of education.
Refreshments will be
served at noon. The pro-
gram chairman for the
event is Ethel Palman.
Fund-raising co-chairmen
are: Bea Feigelman, Belle
Greenbaum, Belle Levin,
Frieda Stollman and Rissa
Winkelman. Pearl Nosan is
special gifts chairman. Co-
chairmen are: Fannie
Cooper, Belle Hordes, Edith
Kolodney, Libbie Posen and
Helen Rosenfeld.

campus Catholic student
center, Newman Hall, in
