active Federation board member, joined in extending greet-
ings to Mr. and Mrs. Temchin, praising Joseph Temchin,
second from right, for his cooperation. The occasion was
utilized to honor Mr. and Mrs. Harry Jackson, active Fed-
eration leaders, on their 55th wedding anniversary.

Israel Mission Evaluation
Jane Sherman, who with
her husband, Larry, led the
Detroit Service Group Study
Mission which returned last
week from a 10-day tour of
Israel, will be guest speaker
at the annual awards cere-
mony of the Allied Jewish
Campaign-Israel Emer-
gency Fund's Metropolitan
Division 10 a.m. Sunday in
the Jewish Community Cen-
ter's Shiffman Hall.
Mrs. Sherman is a mem-
ber of the United Appeal
National Women's Division
Board and is chairman of
the new national Young
Women's .Leadership
Cabinet.
The awards ceremony
will honor organizations and
individuals for their contri-
butions and work with last
year's campaign. The meet-
ing also serves to recognize
the efforts of officers and
board members.
The divisioh's chairmen
for 1977 were Rabbi James
I. Gordon and Isadore Shro-
deck. Jerome B. Green-
baum, 1977 associate chair-
man, will be Metropolitan
Division chairman for 1978.
