WAS CROWDED...
people were having a good
time. . enjoying the always
excellent food service.. and
soft dinner music for listen-

Of course we all had some
of the best cottage fries that
can be gotten anywhere.
The service was excel-
lent...and naturally so... we
had one of the best in the
business... Lucille Rosett,
whose smile and efficient
ways continually win her
much acclaim in this art...
and believe you me. waiting
on tables properly is defi-
nitely an art.
What continually brings
people back to Club Berkley

Club Berkley has been a

try a steak... Could a place
Frank Bedient may be as
that specialized in Dover
sole, perch and frog legs also
serve a good piece of
meat?... The answer lies in
Pam's statement (it was
' her birthday)... "I never
order steak out anymore,"
she said, "because nobody
seems to know how to cook
them for me. This is the
best filet I've ever had!"
We had the filet. also. and
readily attest to its superb-
ness... Now mind you. this
is not just another slab of
meat put out by Chef Ezzie
Holyk. of whom there are
very few better. and his
excellent kitchen staff. plus
manager Phil Ray in there
doing his stuff. too ..so ten-
der and so deliciously good.
Its getting harder and
harder to get those tiny frog
legs that wife Frieda likes
so well... Club Berkley had
them the night we were
there and so did many other
tables like that of Shirley
and Iry Lachman ("We
come here all the time
now. - ) .."If they become
impossible to get." says
Frank. "we still won't stop
serving frog legs. The next
size may not be the tiniest
but they're still small."
Club Berkley is one of
only about three or four
places in town that serve
real turtle soup (not mock
turtle)... We always order it
here. but decided on some-
thing different for a
change... home-made mush-
room barley soup that was
different. too... very good
with its private flavor got-
ten from a chicken base...
Frieda. Pam and Scott (he
had a most generous portion
of surf 'n turf) enjoyed the
very tasty onion soup with
