Will Retire, Plans to Study

Rabbi Samuel S. Stoll-
man, spiritqal leader of
Cong. Shaar Hashomayim,
Windsor, announces he will
retire from his post effec-
tive Oct. 31.
A retirement dinner will
be tendered Rabbi and Mrs.
Stollman Oct. 23 at the
synagogue.

Rabbi Stollman will act as
rabbi emeritus for the con-
gregation and continue his
post as professor of English
literature at the University
of Windsor. He requested
the retirement so that he

Rabbi Stollman was
ordained at the Rabbi Isaac
Elchanan Theological Semi-
nary at Yeshiva University
in New York in 1947. He
served one year at the
Hebrew Orthodox Center in
Scranton, Pa., and came to
Windsor with his wife,
Deborah, in 1949, where he
was ministered to the con-
gregation until the present:
