Community Center. The

host an "Autumn Prome-
nade." 9 p.m. Saturday at
the Oak Park Community
Center. President Cecile
Smith invites friends and
guests. Johnny "C", vocal-
ist. and orchestra will pro-
vide the music for dancing
and social mixers. Refresh-
ments will be served. At 8
p.m. the club will hold its
next open house at the MCL
Cafeteria, Tel-12 Mall. Rich-
ard Vernick, artist of the
Scarab Club, will present a
musical photo-paintings
show utilizing a variety of
synchronized color slides.

Yam Casserole
By NORMA BARACH

Yams, cranberries and
apples make an excellent
casserole side dish to
accompany roast chicken or
turkey.
2 lbs. canned yams in syrup
1 *303 can whole berry cran-
berry sauce
1/4 cup sugar
1 tbsp. lemon juice
2 apples, thinly sliced
Drain yams, saving 1/4 cup of
syrup. Mix the syrup, sugar and
lemon juice with cranberry
sauce. Put yams in a greased
casserole dish. Top with sliced
apples. Pour cranberry sauce
mixture over yams and apples.
Bake for 25 minutes at 350
degrees.
